Interview Tips

Please plan to arrive 15 – 20 minutes early to complete an Employment Application. You may also download and print a pdf formatted copy of the Child Start Employment Application and bring it to your scheduled interview.

Child Start conducts Behavioral Based interviews which focus on experiences, behaviors, knowledge, skills and abilities that are relevant to the position. Please plan to discuss your professional experiences and any other activities, hobbies, and/or volunteer opportunities that relate to your job objective.

Bringing a copy of your college transcripts or degree is not required for an interview, but may be helpful to the interview team when making an offer of employment and establishing a starting salary.

Interviews are often held in a panel format; usually involving two or more individuals who manage or oversee the position being filled. Use this opportunity to gain knowledge about Child Start careers, facilities and specifics relating to the position by asking questions that are important to you.
