Early Childhood Connections

Mission: Child Start’s Early Childhood Connections Program seeks to educate and support families and early childhood professionals.

Vision: A community where children learn, grow and become successful adults.

Early Childhood Connections is located in the Child Start main office located at 1002 S. Oliver Street. Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm; Fridays 7:30 am -3:00 pm.

Provider Services

Early Childhood Connections, a licensed Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) serves child care professionals in 5 Kansas counties: Butler, Cowley, Harvey, Sedgwick, and Sumner.  We also service this area known as Child Care Aware Region Two. Technical assistance, trainings and resources are provided to caregivers in an effort to build the skills and knowledge needed to provide high quality environments for young children. Funding

The Child Care Resource and Referral Program receives funding through United Way of the Plains, as well as DCF monies, Early Childhood Block Grant, and Kansas Children’s Initiative funds through Child Care Aware of Kansas .

In addition, CCR&R depends on raising funds through training, membership, corporate contracts, annual Camp GWC conference, special events, and donations by individuals and companies.

CCR&R does more than help child care providers! We provide services to parents, businesses and the community as well!
