Community Impact Associate
Candace Malone is a dedicated Community Impact Associate at the Kansas Health Foundation, where she has contributed her expertise for the past five years. Starting as a program assistant in the grants department, Candace has recently transitioned to her current role, where she supports grassroots organizations, engages with partners, and manages the foundation’s innovative fund. Her prior experience includes six years at Child Start, culminating in her role as a data specialist in the childcare resource and referral office.
In her current position, Candace plays a crucial role in facilitating internal engagement with partners and communities, while also creating and nurturing connections within the community. Her commitment to building relationships and raising awareness of community resources is integral to advancing the foundation’s mission and supporting Child Start’s initiatives.
Candace is actively involved in various community roles, including serving on the Family Resource Center for the KS Children Service League, co-chairing ICT Urban Professionals, leading the Youth Ministry at her home church, and participating as an alumni member of the Chambers Wichita Young Professionals group and the City’s Civics Engagement Academy.
Outside of her professional and community work, Candace enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in activities such as watching movies, camping, competing at the arcade, and exploring new experiences on the KS 1001 things to do list.
