We appreciate material and service donations year-round for our Head Start sites and for our events. Gift certificates for auction baskets, gifts for door prizes, art supplies for Head Start children are just a few of the examples of things we need to run successful programs and fundraisers. Camp GWC brings in over 300 early childhood professionals who visit the exhibit hall off and on during the day. Exhibits for this late March/early April even fill up in early February due to popularity. Visit the Camp GWC page for more information.
Additionally, Child Start hosts an annual Health Fair for its employees on the first Friday of April. This is a perfect opportunity for businesses focused on mental, physical, or financial health or organizations that can help employees in other ways. Our services for parents could be what your staff or clients need. If they have children, they may need child care. We can provide you with information about Head Start/Early Head Start as well as information on how to find local licensed child care facilities. We also have handouts on a variety of early childhood issues from nutrition to the importance of play.
